How many of these do you get in a day? How many do you throw out immediately? The environmental impact of these tiny slips of paper does not make headlines - even though it is surprisingly big.
One study concluded that in the US alone production of paper receipts required more than 3 million trees and 9 billion gallons of water annually.
3 million trees.
For something you don’t even glance at.
I won’t even go into the emission and waste impact of this madness.
Oh yeah - and they are cannot be recycled because they are coated with BPA or BPS. Which are also kinda toxic.

Someone tell me again - why are we still doing paper receipts in the digital age?
